Day 208: Panic Didn’t Get the Stage

July 27, 20264 min read

We've been talking about raising our frequency, choosing better thoughts, gratitude, and appreciation for the last few days.

Now, the Universe has decided to put me to the test.

Yesterday it threw a monkey wrench that could have had me completely spinning out.

Something serious happened with the support legs that stabilize the motorhome.

My first thought was, "Ok, there's my answer. This is now here permanently. It's never going to be able to be moved. I might as well remodel the whole thing, because I won't be able to sell it and get something that works better for me next season, like I had hoped."

That was the first 3 seconds.

Then, I replied, "Hold on a second, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'll ask AI."

So I asked two different ones. Slightly different answers, but this is serious.

One gave me exact verbiage to use to contact people.

I'm in an area where the closest people for this would be at least an hour and a half away.

I'm feeling a little anxious, but focused on problem solving mode.

And yes, about 3-5% of me is running around in the back of my head going crazy that this is a disaster, trying to scream loud enough to get my attention.

Not going to happen.

Facebook groups are our lifeline in Baja.

I posted on 3 different ones looking for ideas, recommendations.

And that's where I'm at with it this morning.

I responded to FB messages after my spiritual practice, before writing this.

I'm hoping to have at least two people come and give me an idea of what needs to be done.

Think of breaking down in the middle of nowhere and hoping the mechanic, who is the only one around, actually knows what he's doing. That's what it's like here.

The takeaway is that I only went to doom for about 3 seconds. I kept that voice that wanted to stay in a state of panic to a minimum and refused to give her a bigger stage.

I was calm enough about all of this, and feeling that it would be resolved as it needs to be with the right people showing up, that I was able to get a good night's sleep.

Sleep is the real test to see if you actually believe what you're telling yourself about everything working out.

This morning it dawned on me that this is my introduction to community in this little town.

People offered help immediately. One going way beyond and making calls from the U.S. to find people that are here that can drive to someone's house this morning to get a phone number for a guy they think can help.

I swear to you that it has to do with the energy we put out into the world. Our frequency only finds its matching frequency.

If my brain was all worried about being ripped off, then I would have had replies from people who would do that. Equal energy, always.

Since I went into this believing help would be found in those groups, that's what I found.

I went from maybe this is catastrophic and permanent, to this could be expensive, to maybe there is an easy fix.

I decided to go with the energy of the easy fix, with urgency.

We always get to choose.

We choose our thoughts, which leads us to choose our energy, our emotional frequency that dictates what we receive as a response.

And when we are in a place of appreciation, we are less resistant. Our thoughts and energy are open and accepting.

That allows people, support, answers, and direction to come through in the best way for exactly what you are saying, and feeling, you want.

We may still feel fear. We just don't allow it to take center stage.

Today's Gentle Practice

Think about one situation where a worried part of you wants to take over.

Ask yourself:

What thought would allow fear to be present, without taking over?

You don't have to pretend you aren't concerned.

You don't have to ignore what needs attention.

Just choose the energy you want to lead with while the next right support has room to show up.

With you,

Lynn
