Day 211: Every Decision Points Somewhere

July 30, 20263 min read

Today is another day where three of the passages I read were aligned with each other to bring the same message in their own unique way.

One from Wayne Dyer asked me to look at my habits and the excuses I use to explain myself and see if these make me feel good.

And if they don't, it's time to start making decisions that do make me feel good.

He pointed out that feeling good aligns you with the calling of your soul.

And building on feeling good, The Teachings of Abraham talked about how there is no resistance when you are in a vibration of appreciation.

In that state you are very much allowing. And that is when the things you desire are able to flow easily into your experience.

Basically, the better you feel, the better you feel.

And who doesn't want that?

And a reading from A course in Miracles ended with this line.

"Every decision you make is for Heaven or for hell, and brings you the awareness of what you decided for."

In the Course, heaven and hell are not places, they are states of mind, states of being.

To me, heaven is when you are in alignment with your soul and have peace, joy, and happiness in your life.

A state of hell is when you are living a lie. For me, it's a life that betrays your soul.

Living a life that is out of alignment, a life that you would not create for yourself if you fully believed you could create what you desire.

There have been times in my life where I felt helpless to create my life.

It felt like there was no way out of my situation.

Jobs I felt I couldn't leave, relationships I felt obligated to stay in, or actually trapped in and prevented from leaving. Places I lived that at the time I felt I had no say in.

Those times felt like hell.

Yes, there were still some good things in my life, but some part of me knew I was far from free.

There was no question I was living a lie. I could almost feel my soul crying out. And still I felt helpless.

The road between hell and heaven is traveled by what Wayne Dyer and Abraham both said.

To start down that road and reclaim our power to lead a soul-aligned life, it starts with being honest with ourselves and questioning what is and how things have been. Questioning the stories we tell ourselves and the excuses we make for our situation.

And then focusing on any little things that make us feel good. anything that we can appreciate so our hearts open, our vibration rises and we feel better, creating that opening for something better to flow into our lives.

When I felt trapped I spent all my time listening to self-help and motivational tapes. I was always reading a self-help book.

Despite the hell I was living in, there was always a part of me that was looking for the way out.

Sometimes it came quickly, and sometimes it came slowly, like when I had to save little bits of money for 3 years to escape my abuser.

If you keep walking that path and keep the faith, it all comes together so much better than you even pictured in your mind.

At least it always has for me.

All that's required is to start at the top with what Wayne said and go from there.

If you are persistent, clarity and strength will come.

Today's Gentle Practice

Think about one place in your life where something no longer feels good.

Ask yourself:

What decision would move me one step closer to peace?

You don't have to change everything today.

Just be honest about what your soul has been trying to tell you.

Then look for one small thing you can appreciate, one small place where your heart can soften, and let that be the beginning of the opening.

With you,

Lynn
