Day 215: Wisdom, Love, and Ease
Today's affirmation from Louise Hay is:
I handle all my experiences with wisdom, love, and ease.
Now take a deep breath.
Don't you feel calmer just reading that?
I could feel my shoulders drop and something inside me relax when I read it.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we approached everything with this being our primary belief about how we handle situations.
No anger or fear. No avoiding things. Just wisdom, love, and ease.
Then when difficult things happen, we don't have to meet it from a place of panic.
We can adopt the state of meeting challenges like water off a duck's back.
That affirmation is one worth writing down somewhere that you'll see it.
Speaking of that, back in 2001 I read a book that said to make a list of the things you want to have in your life and then put that list on index cards all over your house, so that you'll see it all the time.
I was still new to becoming an entrepreneur and had a lot to learn, so if I remember correctly, a lot of my list was business related. I had some financial goals, travel, personal things I wanted to accomplish.
The thing is that list covered many different things. Some I thought had a pretty good chance of happening. Others were a long shot and some I thought I'd be lucky if they happened in the next 5 years.
I posted them all over the place. Bathroom mirror, in front of the toilet, next to the phone, by light switches going out of rooms, on the wall as I would get into bed, on the visor in the car, on the fridge, literally everywhere.
The interesting thing was that some of the biggest things just fell into my lap, so unexpectedly.
Because this was an experiment, even though I thought some were a very slim chance, I stayed open and treated them all equally. I would focus on all of them when I would see the list, imagining what life would be like when they were my reality.
And it worked.
So, if you read that affirmation and thought there was no chance that could be how you respond to situations in your life, I assure you that it can be.
All it takes is reminding yourself on a regular basis of the way you want to live, who you want to be, and what you want your vibrational frequency to be.
You can record affirmations in your own voice and listen to them several times a day. You can write them on cards and put them where you'll see them. You can choose one sentence and let it become a touchstone.
Whatever works best for you.
The point is to give your mind something new to practice.
There already is that calm place deep inside you. You can decide now to bring it forward and train your mind to respond from wisdom, love, and ease.
Today's Gentle Practice
Think of one situation where you usually react from tension, fear, or frustration.
Ask yourself:
How would I respond if I handled this with wisdom, love, and ease?
You don't have to get it perfect.
Just let the question soften your body and give your mind a new direction to practice.
With you,
Lynn
