Day 237: Asking Is Only Part of It
Choosing is the first step in creating the life you want.
But choosing is not the whole process.
Once we choose, we ask. And once we ask, we have to become available to receive the answer.
Sometimes when people first start thinking about conscious creation, they go straight to the biggest, flashiest material things they can imagine.
And there's nothing wrong with wanting beautiful things.
But the deeper question is whether the thing is actually aligned with who you are and how you want to live.
That's why the Universe requires us to fulfill our end of how co-creation works.
Once we've decided what we choose to have, be, or do, the first steps is to ask for it.
After having spent a couple of years doing a deep dive online into tiny homes, I decided that wasn't a good option for me right now.
Something you could drive was a better fit.
There's no place to buy RVs here in Cabo, so I had to ask for whatever would be a good fit for me to show up in my area.
Then I waited for the Universe to answer.
Because of the limited forms of communication in my life, it was likely I would see it on Facebook. Or I would see one parked somewhere with a sign on it.
My only part in the answering is to be aware, and do my part, if there is one.
The biggest part I play in all this is allowing.
That means I have to really be ready and open to receive it. No resistant thoughts counteracting what I say I want.
And then one day I looked at Facebook Marketplace and instead of trailers or truck campers, there was this beautiful motorhome. It looked brand new, had very low miles, and was near enough I could take a day trip to see it.
I was pretty sure that was the one for me before I went to see it.
I liked it, liked the beach it was already parked at, a very small RV park.
So, I made an offer on the spot.
I felt completely confident because I made the choice of what I wanted before I asked.
I asked for what I wanted, with room for the Universe to deliver a better match than I knew to ask for.
And when the answer came I was in a place of allowing, so I recognized it.
One thing I had to watch was the temptation to focus on the absence of what I wanted.
Because asking can quietly turn into noticing that it still isn't here.
And noticing that it still isn't here can turn into the vibration of not having it.
Meaning that, if I wasn't careful, I would subconsciously be focused on how hard it is to find what I was looking for here because I couldn't just go to an RV lot and buy one.
Then, my vibrational energy I was putting out would be matching not finding one.
That happens a lot when we think what we ask for just isn't being answered.
What we are actually asking for vibrationally is always being answered because everything is energy going back and forth. It's continuous.
We are always asking for things large and small, all day long. Every contrast that comes into our lives helps us refine our desires.
The part that asks for our awareness is staying in a state of receiving, becoming a vibrational match for what we say we want.
We feel into it.
We leave room for something even better than what we knew to ask for.
And we stop using our energy to rehearse all the reasons it may not come.
Our emotions do the communicating for us.
The words matter, but the feeling is what the Universe responds to.
Today's Gentle Practice
Think about one thing you have been asking for.
Ask yourself:
Am I feeling available to receive this, or am I focused on the fact that it isn't here yet?
You don't have to force certainty.
Just notice where your attention has been going.
Then spend a few moments feeling what it would be like to have the essence of what you want already active in your life.
Peace.
Freedom.
Safety.
Joy.
Ease.
Let that feeling become the signal.
With you,
Lynn
