Day 79: You Are Enough: Finding Your Purpose in This Season of Life

March 20, 20264 min read

This morning I read two things that really stayed with me.

Wayne Dyer said:

Purpose is about giving yourself unconditionally and accepting what comes back with love, even if what comes back isn’t what you anticipated.

And Louise Hay said:

I am enough. Life is easy and joyful.

If you are just coming out of a major life quake, or you’ve been sitting at The Truth Threshold for a while, waiting for things to feel different, both of those statements might feel hard to take in right now.

But they are true.

And they can support you, even if you feel like you’re in one of the hardest seasons of your life.

Personally, I’m at a point of transition right now.

There are areas of my life that are being restructured and recalibrated as I move toward changes I feel called to make.

Even without a major upheaval, it can still feel uncertain.

I’m asking myself to be very honest.

To make sure what I’m moving toward is truly what I want.

And also to be grounded in the reality of it, not adding a layer of fantasy that won’t hold up when it becomes real.

I see that happen often.

People build toward something, and when they arrive, it doesn’t feel the way they thought it would.

Figuring out what your purpose is right now matters.

Even if everything feels like it’s in pieces.

Even if you’re standing in the aftermath of something that changed everything.

Or even if, like me, you’re choosing to make changes before something forces you to.

So ask yourself:

What is the most pressing thing right now?

That is your purpose for this moment.

You don’t have just one purpose in your life.

You have many.

Different seasons. Different callings.

You show up with what you have.

Sometimes it’s received.

Sometimes it isn’t.

But the important part is that you follow your truth.

You do what you feel called to do.

That’s all you can ask of yourself.

And then you come back to what Louise said.

No matter how it’s received…

You are enough.

And life gets to feel easier and more joyful when you remember that.

At the beginning of this year, I woke up on January 1st and had a clear inner knowing.

I was going to do something new.

For the entire year, I would share insights from my morning spiritual practice.

I didn’t overthink it.

I just said yes.

I hadn’t written daily emails in years.

Talking about spirituality as part of growing and expanding used to be a core part of my work, but I had shifted into more general health and wellness.

So this was a change. Back to sharing my foundation.

I could have questioned it.

Wondered what people would think.

Would people unsubscribe?

Would they not understand the shift?

But I trust my inner voice.

So I started writing.

Every day.

No plan. No agenda.

And honestly, I’m often surprised by what comes through.

Most days, I learn something.

Or find an answer to something I hadn’t even asked yet.

It feels like a gift. And it’s a purpose.
The other day when I wrote about The Truth Threshold, it wasn’t planned.

It just came through.

And afterward, I smiled.

Like something bigger than me had decided it was time.

Don’t get caught in the “what ifs” when something calls to you.

Just say yes.
See where it leads.

Those have always been the most meaningful moments in my life.

You are enough.

Let your life be easier.

Let it feel more joyful.

And if you’re in a harder place right now…

Just take one step.

Then another.

And remind yourself as many times as you need to:

You are enough.

Today’s Gentle Practice
Take a moment today and ask yourself:

What feels like my purpose right now, in this season?

Not forever.

Just right now.

Let the answer be simple.

It might be taking care of yourself.

Making a decision.

Resting.

Beginning something new.

Whatever it is, let it be enough

And gently remind yourself:

I am enough, exactly where I am.
If something comes up for you as you sit with this, you’re always welcome to reply and share.

With you,
Lynn
