Day 94: The Belief You Think Is Fixed… Might Not Be
This morning Wayne Dyer’s message said:
“Every self-limiting thought that you employ to explain why you’re not living life to the absolute fullest—so you’re feeling purposeful, content, and fully alive—is something you can challenge and reverse, regardless of how long you’ve held that belief and no matter how rooted in tradition, science, or life experience it may be.”
We tend to accept as truth things that feel immovable.
Traditions, more like rules, of our family, community, religion, and country of origin.
Life experience is so personal.
No two people who have lived through the same experience see it in the exact same way or deal with it in the same way emotionally.
Shifting our beliefs around life experience can be even harder than walking away from these lifelong rules.
But you can change what you think you see.
What you believe about yourself, your life, and situations.
It takes effort. It takes focus. It takes intention.
It doesn’t happen because you think it would be nice to get past what happened.
It requires your full participation.
You need to be all in for things to shift.
The truth is, you can recover from any emotional hurt, if you really want to.
Life won’t be exactly like it used to be, because we are continually growing and changing, so that’s not possible anyway.
You start by noticing your thoughts.
Then questioning whether they are true or just your story about what happened.
Then, when you have your answer, you get to decide what you want to do with that information.
Once you see the light about something that was a partial truth, or not true at all, you can’t unknow that.
It’s your choice what you do with that awareness.
When your thoughts and emotions around something you want in your life, or something you want to shift, are first forming, they are still scattered.
A mix of positive and negative thoughts.
What you want, and the lack of it.
But as you start to solidify what it is you’re moving toward, your thoughts grow more focused.
Your emotions become more positive, more often.
And your emotional frequency begins to tune in more consistently and gains momentum.
That’s when you begin to feel something different inside yourself.
You can feel something beginning to stir.
You start to feel more calm. More sure. More confident.
And your thoughts and emotions begin to align.
This is evidence that you are becoming a vibrational match for what you want to bring into your life.
And every time you are at a frequency that matches what you want, you feel good.
That’s how you know you’re moving in the right direction.

Today’s Gentle Practice
Take a quiet moment today.
Notice what you’ve been focusing on.
Not just your thoughts, but how you’ve been feeling.
Ask yourself:
“Is this aligned with what I want?”
If it isn’t, gently shift your focus.
Not forcefully.
Just enough to feel even slightly better.
Stay with that feeling for a few breaths.
If this resonates, I’d love to hear if there’s a moment when you felt a shift.
With you,
Lynn
